CONFLICT MANAGEMENT STYLES AMONG NURSES AT A TEACHING HOSPITAL, CHITWAN

Background: Nursing professionals are vulnerable to conflict due nature of work, working environment and diversity interaction. If management is done properly adopting the effective style, it would enhance job morale promote growth any health institution. Hence, this study was aimed find out styles among nurses at a Teaching Hospital, Chitwan. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional design used identify most preferred style 50 Hospital Chitwan using non-probability convenience sampling method. The data collected from 6th Dec 2020 till 19th through self-administered questionnaire standardized tool Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory II. analysis statistics. Results: Among respondents, median age 23.0 years. Regarding management, five collaborating (4.17±0.38) one followed in rank order by compromising (3.70±0.52), accommodating (3.55±0.38), avoiding (3.27±0.59) competing (3.06±0.77). Conclusions: findings concluded that least respectively while handling peers during clinical hours. Thus, important nurse managers hospital authority pay attention towards promotion for nursing training in-service education sessions.
